Her clinical work has also included psychological assessment, such as evaluations for gifted and learning disabilities.
Dr. Gilbert joined Associates in Behavioral Counseling in 2012. She provides therapeutic services to people of all ages, ranging from children as young as 5 to older adults and seniors. Therapy can be on an individual basis and can also include families as well as couples. Dr. Gilbert generally utilizes Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, as she believes that if we can shift our perceptions and the way in which we interpret certain stressors, we can bring about a major shift in how we feel as well as how we behave. Dr. Gilbert also believes that a supportive environment is key to overcoming many of the obstacles we face throughout a lifetime. She provides an objective ear, accompanied with unconditional support, and aspires to be an advocate for each and every one of her patients.
